Allow Drive-Thru Service
Drive-thrus help seniors, parents, and people with disabilities shop safely and privately. Missouri’s had them for years with zero problems. Why not Illinois?
Take action and Let’s fix it.
It’s past time to allow drive-thru service at dispensaries in Illinois.
This isn’t just about convenience. For seniors, people with disabilities, or parents juggling kids in car seats, getting in and out of a store can be a real hassle, or just not possible some days. A drive-thru makes it easier and more private for everyone.
Accessibility is a right, not a privilege. For many customers, especially those with chronic pain or mobility impairments, walking into a store is a physical hardship. We believe in practical accommodations, like drive-thrus, that align with the spirit of the ADA and ensure that those who benefit most from these products can obtain them without barriers.
Missouri has allowed this since 2021 and it’s worked fine. No problems. I think Illinois should offer the same option.
Use the form to tell lawmakers: Allow drive-thru service at dispensaries in Illinois.
Who We Are
The Illinois Action Center was built on a simple premise: The people who use a service should have a say in how it works. Too often, the laws governing your local dispensary are debated by people who have never stood in line for medication or tried to run an errand on a tight schedule. Legislators debate policy in the abstract and you navigate the results every single day. It shouldn’t work that way.
